Good ways to chip a soccer ball

What are your good ways of chipping a soccer ball. I usually rely on the soles of my feet to control the ball before raising it up. It always helps me to manage my moves when I do that.

Chipping or lobbing the ball cannot happen without having good accuracy in shooting or kicking. I think it depends on how good your feet movement is. I don't think I will have problems in chipping a leather Nike ball.
