Soccer formations and the tactics to use

Post  soccerball on Sat Mar 27, 2010 6:12 pm

If you were a coach and wanted to win many games in a season, what tactics would you develop to play? The 4-4-2 soccer formation or the 4-3-3 soccer formation. Would you rely on just attacking football formations in order to win many games?

Alex Ferguson will handle your question better since he has been running Manchester United in the EPL for a long while now. An attacking soccer formation wins games but it can be risky too...you don't always win soccer games by playing offensive. Some teams win games by playing just the typical 4-5-1 soccer formation because they are tactical and ready on the field. Exclamation

I agree the formations don't always matter. The players (strikers, defenders, goalkeepers, midfielders, wingers) have to get the results. Laughing
